Intellectual Property Management

Intellectual Property Management Plan:To enhance brand image and prevent losses due to infringement, our company has established an intellectual property management system linked to our operational goals. This system integrates R&D resources and business expansion needs, helping to solidify the company's profit foundation.

Current Management Plans:

We have implemented a patent application incentive system to encourage R&D personnel to submit creative proposals. For key R&D projects, we assist in tracking patent outputs. Before each application is submitted, a patent literature search is conducted to understand prior art, enhancing our patent applications' technical content and argumentation. We gather feedback and further improve the quality of proposals. A patent map is created to collect, monitor, and analyze the patent application status of competitors. The map is categorized by technical content and features to build a technology matrix, identifying risk-free areas as a reference manual for R&D personnel, thereby strengthening our R&D capabilities. For published patents with potential infringement concerns, we conduct prior art searches and historical reviews, create archives, and collaborate with R&D personnel to avoid infringement during the design phase, preventing company losses.

Employee contracts include confidentiality obligations regarding company secrets, prohibiting the disclosure or use of trade secrets from previous employers. Confidential technical documents are archived in the R&D unit, with controlled download, copy, and access permissions, and processes and destinations can be tracked. Important areas have access control measures in place.

The business unit regularly reviews market expansion plans and actively registers company trademarks in countries where operations and product sales occur.

Important technology-related works, such as drawings, are stored in the R&D and biotech units, with access permissions in place.

Trademark and patent response measures aim to prevent or mitigate disputes that could harm the company and ensure that top management receives sufficient information and assistance when making decisions. In case of related risks that cannot be handled internally, the legal team should seek advice from external legal counsel to discuss response strategies.
